auto-launch on startup


so Kubuntu crashed for the first time today, and upon restarting, it launched everything in my home directory.  I rebooted again, and the same thing happened. 

And there's nothing in /~/.kde/Autostart/

suggestions?

errors when configuring mplayer plugin


Hello
         I've been following the instructions found in an ubuntu forum for setting up multimedia apps and mplayer plugin. I received the following errors when executing the final step to write to mplayerplug-in.conf
 
dan@dan:~$ sudo kwrite  $HOME/.mplayer/mplayerplug-in.conf
[sudo] password for dan:

Kaffeine won't repeat playlist


I'm wondering if this might be a bug, or maybe I'm not aware of something I should be doing. Anyway, when I try to repeat the playing of a file in kaffeine, I select Playlist > Repeat. Kaffeine then jumps through a few frames in a few seconds and keeps repeating those little frame jumps over and over, but it doesn't actually repeat the file. It will play it once correctly, but the repeating doesn't really work. You have to click "play" manually each time to get i ...
