Review of Resolute Raccoon Kubuntu 26.04 LTS

I was able to download Kubuntu 26.04 LTS iso from the site:
https://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/d...ive/current/:D

To my surprise when I created an installation disk, I was able to install it on my "Sacrificial Laptop" which is an ASUS F3Jr that I bought in December 2012. I am doing this post from my Resolute Raccoon site.

I have now installed all my favoutite applications and the Informaiton Centre is as ahown below.


While this is early days for this system, there are a few "gremlins" to deal with. I am sure that many of these will be solved in the coming weeks.

I must say that the greatest problem that I have is that I cannot view, copy or install my hidden files. My Calendar Kontact is now blank. I suspect that the hidden file problem is the reason for a great many of my problems as other applications have hidden files for their function.

As 26.04 is in the early development stage and the developers are making sure that this is a great LTS, I look forward to a great developmemt period where bugs and new feaatures are added.

Updates are still coming and the Info Center KDE Framworks has change from 6.19 to 6.20 in the past 5 days. Also hidden files are are now starting to become available, but my calender Kontact is still blank. It is great to experience the progress made by the developers in this short time.
