OK I played around a bit. Turns out you can actually directly copy a pic to a post from the internet (right-click on the image and choose Copy Image).

You can drag and image from your PC and drop it on your post, then a small dialog opens letting you select sizes.

And you can select a local image using the "Upload Attachments" button at the bottom of the edit window.
