    Kubunu freezes 22.04 fresh install

I installed Kubuntu 22.04 yesterday after I first used Ubuntu with KDE manually installed for half a year, I tinkered a bit too much in my previous install so I decided to start over.
Every other hour or so my laptop freezes and I only can just power it down with the button and then boot again. I can move my mouse and music keeps playing but the screen is completly frozen.
I have to study for my exams so this is a bit frustrating, I really like the KDE environment and working with linux, I'm an electronics student so I'm not a complete noob but this issue I just have no clue where to start. The logs show these 2 messages getting repeated a lot when a freeze has happened:

    journalctl:
    kernel:
    i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] *ERROR* flip_done timed out
kernel: i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] *ERROR* [CRTC:131:pipe B] commit wait timed out

I off course googled the error, the most recent issue I can find tells me that it has been fixed by either installing a new Kubuntu version or by appending some lines tothe grub configuration or just implementing a workaround (script that logs out and back in and restarts all kde processes or something in that area).
Since it has been a couple of months since the latest post about it that I could find, I thought I would post it here, hopefully I missed a simple work around and somebody can free me from the misery

Thanks in advance and have a nice day!

To do this, you can test adding the kernel boot parameters by editing from the grub menu. When you reboot and the grub menu is displayed, press "e" to enter the editor and add your parameter at the end of the line that begins with "linux" and ends with "quiet splash". Just add what you need after "splash" and then press F10 to boot. This will not permanently change anything. If the kernel parameter works, then you can make it permanent by editing /etc/default/grub and add the parameter to this line in between the quotes: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""

Then run sudo update-grub and reboot.

      Hello,

Thank you for the fast reply,

For people who also have this issue: using the kernel 6.2.0-36-generic seems to work for now.
I will experiment further with the 6.5 kernel when I have more time.
