    Acceleration != Speed

    Is it just me or everybody else? Mouse speed and mouse acceleration are different things, aren't they? Or does Kubuntu use the term acceleration for speed? Actually, I was always accustomed to the term "mouse sensitivity" and "mouse acceleration" in computer games. I never really researched this but I thought it worked that way that when mouse sensitivity is large, the cursor travels a lot of pixels for a constant distance the physical mouse travels. Acceleration, on the other hand, was the increase in sensitivity with increase of mouse speed (moving the mouse 1cm slowly moves the cursor less than moving the mouse 1cm fast).

    Maybe I'm just wrong, Wikipedia offers yet another explanation, which I cannot confirm from my experience though: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mouse_%...29#Mouse_speed

      Amios: Do you have a file /etc/X11/xorg.conf? If you do - post the "InputDevice" "Mouse" section(s)
