    configure Mouse (speed)

    Hey folks,
    I've got a new mouse (Logitech mx1100) and I'm realy happy with it.
    The only problem I've got is that I can't lower the mouse speed.
    The MX1100 has two buttons which can switch between different resolutions (800-1600 DPI)
    On the smallest level that mouse is pretty damn fast. So I tryed to turn the mousespeed down.
    But where can I find that option? Systemsettings->Mouse->Mouseaccel is already on 0.1.
    And that mouse is pretty damn fast.

    I've really no idea how to solve this.

    I had a similar mouse with the same behaviour and I got used to switch the mouse button to high resolution to slow the default speed down after every session start.

        I accidentally came across this file /home/xxx/.kde/share/config/kaccessrc yesterday, which has a mouse section. Maybe it is worth to play with it for a while.

          I believe that file controls mouse navigation settings when using the num pad (arrow keys) to move the mouse - the settings in the file mirror the settings you see in System Settings > Keyboard & Mouse > Mouse > Mouse Navigation. To change those settings, you click on the Move pointer with keyboard (using the num pad).

            Does nobody know any way to change the speed of the mousepointer in Kubuntu?
            Why doesn't exist any kind of configuration in KDE for mousepointer?

              I would try System Settings > Keyboard & Mouse > Mouse > Advanced > Pointer Acceleration.

                Systemsettings->Mouse->Mouseaccel is already on 0.1.
                I think when you tried this and the file kaccessrc I offered is only a mirror of this, you did all you were able in Kubuntu. If it doesn't work for you, the way it works for anybody else and you cannot live without it, it's time to change distro or the mouse.

                  ive no file /home/xxx/.kde/share/config/kaccessrc. /home/xxx/.kde/share/config/ only offers ./kresources/
                  Does nobody except me have those problems?

                        I didn't changed my mouse settings and my kacessrc looks like this
                        Code:
                        [Mouse]
                        MK-MaxSpeed=1000
                        MK-TimeToMax=5000
                        MKCurve=0
                        MKDelay=160
                        MKInterval=5
                        MKMaxSpeed=5
                        MKTimeToMax=1000
                        MouseKeys=false
                        I have fresh install of Karmic with kde 4.3.2 for one month.

                        One more note. My mouse was too fast with screen resolution 1024x768 and now is ok with 1920x1080. So another workaround is a new monitor.
