    Anyone considering the PinePhone?

Open Source KDE Plasma on a phone!

This looks interesting to me. I may pony up the $199 just to try it out.

I really wanted the Ubuntu phone that was planned years ago, but it never came about. This one is way less money and appears to work on Google Fi - my current carrier. The idea that I could have a phone, then dock it to ethernet, monitor and keyboard sounds awesome.

I did, but 200 bucks is more than I can afford, until I replace my real-life physical job.

I have been playing with 'Desktop mode' on my Android 10 LG v60, which is similar to Samsung Dex, but is a native Android 10 feature( if a device has implemented it, or via third party launchers), and find it interesting and potentially useful once mature. I have always loved the idea of a portable computer that can be used in multiple configuration, like using the Nexdock on the go, connected to a monitor and bt kb/mouse at home, and as a mobile phone device in the pocket.

I am not quite sure how well the Allwinner A64 Quad Core cpu will do, though. It seems more powerful than a Raspberry Pi, but by how much?
