A helper script after Kubuntu 26.04 installation to save time

    Hello all,

this script is for advanced users and is highly customizable. You can run the script after a Kubuntu Default or minimal installation to automate some further steps. After installation, it installs selected applications and configures a few minor optimizations. You can customize everything in this script as you like. If there’s something you don’t want, comment out the corresponding section with a “#”. If you want to enable something, remove the “#” from that section.

    Thanks for sharing.

However, I think you should change the subject of this thread to clarify that your script is clearly aimed at advanced users.
It does very individual things like e.g. installing the Z shell for terminal users, adding an Austrian community repository, uninstalling Firefox and Thunderbird, etc.
By the way: The script will likely not work on a system installed using the "Minimal installation" option, as Snap is not installed there at all.…

I also think that your description on the Github website "[…] configures the system for an optimal operability. […]" can be very misleading as it is impossible to know the intended purpose of an installed system without feedback from the user.

In my opinion the script should be better named something like "My Personal Installation Script", since it seems to be tailored with your personal or your friends' needs for an installation in mind.

Enough of the criticizm, have a nice day.

important things to do after installation (24/26.04)get rid of Snap script (20.04 +)
install traditional Firefox script (22.04 +) • install traditional Thunderbird script (24.04 +)

Well, it's really just for my own use and as a little helper for the Linux installation parties. Thanks a lot, your points definitely make sense. I'll go over the whole thing again and try to explain it better.
