    Photoshop n

Hey all you artsy fartsy fans and folks!

Was wondering if anyone has bothered trying to get photoshop CS2 working in Kubuntu. I know there's always the Gimp option, but seeing as how I am already proficient with Photoshop AND I am a graphic designer (hence learning Gimp gets me nowhere as PS is the industry standard) I'm interested in making PS work under linux.

I know there are windows emulators that allow you to run windows programs under linux... I was simply wondering if anyone had gone through the trials and tribulations already and knew the best way to get things done.

    Thanks!

I like talking to myself apparently. I have a lot of monologues in my short time here...

    anyway,

I just installed gimp... I daresay I like it better than PS initially. I don't see too many differences short of menu placement and such. It seems snappier too. Though I remember reading that Gimp leaves things to be desired for more advanced design work. Maybe I'll try to do my next (personal) design project in Gimp and see where its usefulness trails off.

STILL, if you've tried PS in Linux, I'm still curious to hear of success/failure stories.

Have you tried installing wine and giving it a shot ?
