    - But maybe only if you have gone to your user settings and changed from 'basic editor' to 'standard editor' under general settings. I was missing the usual Bold, etc, buttons until I did that.

They are present both in the quick reply box and in the advanced editor

Um, not always but not too bad in general. Each quote links back to the original post, with that admittedly tiny default icon there.
I do not see an option for this, maybe there is a plugin

No, it isn't -- any more. The ability to 'nest' quotes they way we were able to do under SMF, was removed from vBulletin some time back. There are Mods (hacks) that can give us this 'feature' back, but we are just going to wait and see. In the new versions of vBulletin, as we are using here, you can use the Multi-Quote option that is enabled (and that I've used in this reply) to get the same results.

Loving the redesign, looks really professional now, and password reset with no problems at all, congratulations to all concerned, I should drop by more often but I never seem to get the chance and nothing seems to go wrong with kubuntu 11.10, so I don't really need to ask anything, again a really nice look and feel to the forum.

There are differences with vBulletin versus SMF. We all knew there would be. Some of the 'features' we enjoyed using SMF don't have counterparts in vBulletin, or at least, we haven't found them - yet.

We are pursuing a custom theme, even considering paying to have one professionally designed, so as to the colors and such, we are already working towards making the new KFN have more of a feel for the old site. But it isn't going to ever be exactly like it was using SMF. Even as Administrators, we are 'feeling' our way around in vBulletin. Heck, we've only been up now for just around a week!

Do remember a lot of these, maybe all of these, are from VBulletin's default settings, which still need to be tweaked. As is the theme, same story. Have patience, please!

    Okay...I'm sorry, but I don't like it.

The issue I mentioned earlier (about not seeing the OP's name when browsing a board) is actually as I orignally said. It depends on where you're sitting. If you're looking at the main forum page, you see the list of boards, such as Help the New Guy, but there's nothing indicating who posted the latest thread. The Last Post column shows the original name of the thread, followed by the name of the person who last posted in it, instead of showing "Re: [the thread's name]." So it looks like a brand-new thread when in fact it's not. If you've actually entered a board, such as Help the New Guy, then on the left you'll see the thread's title and who started it, and on the right you'll see who last replied to each thread. I MUCH preferred the old forum's way of displaying all of this.

I miss the old display of personal message info at the top right.

I do NOT like the color scheme and/or fonts. It's not as inviting as the old forum. It's not as...I don't know, FRIENDLY looking. I feel less inclined to peruse the boards now.

As others have mentioned, there's no 'insert quote' function now when you're already replying.

When you quote a post, it doesn't quote the sub-quotes within the post; it only quotes the author of THAT particular reply, not anyone s/he quoted in the reply.

OS, sorry, I know you've put a lot of time and effort into this transition, and this is simply my $0.02 worth, so take it FWIW to you.

    Hi all....

I received a warning from Avast (using Vista) when I clicked on this link, as well. They opened up IE and gave me this report.

The changing of account password went smoothly.

I am not seeing the above problems. I'm using firefox in case that makes a difference
