How to put image in forum signature line

I'm being frustrated with this:

I have

in my sig - but nothing displays. Could some gentleperson point out my error?

Hmmm.....

In your sig I see an online/offline graphic and a readme link.

I didn't see anything in the body of your post. The bit between "have" and "in my" in your post is blank.

I'm confused, unless you as the owner of the signature can't actually see it. Have you tried visiting as a guest?

Sorry I didn't noticed it didn't print what I had in there - clearly I'm doing something wrong or not allowed.

I fixed the post above by adding the spaces between the html codes.

that doesn't look like a direct url to the image (it also has an extra ']' at the end):

Note: Your image is rather big for a signature picture
