    copy of [CODE]....[/CODE]

is it possible to install a vBulletin plugin that adds a Copy button to code blocks?
so users can just click on the copy button instead of selecting text and copy?

Snowhog or Archeron will probably have a definitive answer, but I'm guessing not. There maybe an add-on that's available but the cost of it will have to be considered.

We're not on the newest version of vBulletin because the latest release is no longer a "product" but a "service" which means continual payments are required to use it. We're probably not going to do serious upgrades until we're forced to, just because of the cost.

vBulletin itself doesn't have anything like this. At least, 5.7.5 doesn't. I can inquire to vBMods to see if this is something he can create. How are you envisioning it would work?

I'm thinking it might be implemented via bbcode template or header JS injection?

hmm ok after bit research looks like it can be done with adding one <button> (or icon) to the code block template and include one JavaScript file globally.
No database changes, no new BBCode, no plugin framework required.
I might be wrong , i'm just reading up on this.
          would be nice though

Okay, we do have vBMods Copy Code Button for [PHP], [HTML] and [CODE] BBCode Tags MOD installed. It's only visible to Administrators, Moderators, and members who have a Paid Subscription that hasn't expired. You should see this when you are viewing a post that has code posted using [PHP], [HTML] and [CODE] BBCode tags.

            Test for you:

            Code:
            #! /bin/bash
            clear
            ls -la
You should see Copy Code at the top right of the code block.

It’s there, but your dark theme may make it invisible.

I'm not seeing it either assuming that it is something that is visible to me.

I'm going to log in as you (an Administrator only MOD) that will allow me to 'see KFN' as you do. It is a tool that helps us troubleshoot reported issues like this. You will get an email/DM telling you I'm doing this.

So I confirm that this MOD isn't showing for you, and it should. I'll contact the author and ask him why this might be happening. Reported.

It has probably been 10 years since I was last an admin on a Vbulletin 5.x forum with the powers to install or configure mods. So honestly I will hold up my hands and say no idea on this.
