Kinda hard when you're battling this:
Even after I discovered the flatpak store and snap store (and synaptic), I still like the Plasma-Discover way of going about updating everything. I'm lazy, I want a gui.Code:pat@Pats-Main:~$ sudo apt-get upgrade On KDE neon you should use `pkcon update` to install updates. If you absolutely must use apt you do have to use dist-upgrade or full-upgrade in place of the upgrade command. https://neon.kde.org/faq#command-to-update Abort

That should be getting changed as well, but it isn't something quick and simple like submitting an MR with edits to a website
This does remind me to double check that the MR for the original apt patching was submitted by someone. It might be something I can figure out, if it hasn't yet.
Ditto here, though I personally find *managing* system/distro packages easier in the terminal usually. Tab-completion and aliases make that fast. Updating with Discover is my usual morning ruotine. But mainly discover/pkcon hide too much of the messaging, quite often the important parts when there is a problem.Originally posted by Buddlespit View PostI'm lazy, I want a gui.Last edited by claydoh; Oct 19, 2025, 03:49 PM.
