    KDE 6.4 Wobbly Windows

So, just generally asking. With the update to KDE 6.4, I decided to try Wayland again.

As silly as it may seem. why would Wobbly Windows work under X11 but not Wayland? In fact, the option for Wobbly Windows is completely removed.
Everything is up to date as far as the NVIDIA drivers got, so odd works well under one Window manager and not the other.

Just curious but if they do eventually eliminate X11 I would miss Wobbly Windows. Wobbly Windows, to me, makes the system lively looking.

I dunno. It has always worked for me exactly the same as in x11, and I switched cold turkey a few years ago (late 2021 or early 2022 I think).
I don't use Nvidia, though I would hope that this alone isn't the sole reason for it being missing?

You can unhide all the effects in System Settings

Check that your Graphics Processor isn't showing something odd, like llvmpipe (software rendering)

Exactly why I use it, slowed down and stretched just a bit, plus a slightly tweaked Magic Lantern

I just logged in under Wayland and wobblies worked for me. I am using an AMD GPU though, so that might make
      a difference.

Happily back in X11 so I can fly X-Plane without issues...
Constant change is here to stay!

It's listed as unsupported. Works on others but none are NVidia. That is the only thing. So, I guess NVidia cannot handle compositing under Wayland. So, Back to X11.

Or there is an issue with the driver install. Or you are using nouveau.
Or KDE's "unsupported" reporting is false. Did you try enabling it anyway?

I'd always have to do this when I had old Chromebooks back in the day (x11) though they all worked just fine and had beefier IGPUs than the desktop I was using, where it was supported
