Out of curiosity I downloaded Zorin base (3.5 Gb) and installed as a virtual machine. Clean desktop. Uses Brave as the browser. I think the file folder looks like Windows... but I've been off Windows on Kubuntu so long I just think...I don't really recall.

I've recommended Zorin to a couple new-to-Linux folks. No complaints so far!

I haven't reported, but I'm one of those. Tired of Windows 11, of Microsoft's shenanigans with AI, ads, personal data siphoning… Not new to Linux, but back for good and installing it on "obsolete" but functional computers that can't run Windows 11.

Yes, and there are several people around me who don't want to buy new computers for Windows 11 and asked me to install Linux on their machine. The community is growing thanks to Microsoft x)
