Qt 6.8.3 and Plasma 6.3.4 updates should be arriving in plucky

I installed 25.04 today because I had just trashed 24.04. The /home directory is unchanged.

The first problem was that the desktop was covered with half the screen, green and half the screen, black. I reinstalled several times. The effect flashes up and then goes as the desktop loads and then stays for good.

I think it might be the graphics card driver (Nvidia?). The solution is to launch krunner (L-alt and F2) and run konsole. Then update the system with sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get upgrade. The desktop now loads correctly, but the black and green screen still pops up once during the desktop loading.

The next problem is akonadi. It will not run and reports that.

Non of the Plasma apps run. The urgent one, for me, is korganizer. I have searched the root directory for the config file, but it does not exist.

royleith - The screen flashing black has to do with adaptive sync in screen settings, the newer 25.10 disabled this to stop the black screen flickering.
