Note that this will not include any extra hardware support, so there will be a very large number of devices that won't work, barring manufacturers divulging their secrets and/or other factors preventing useful development on reverse engineering things.Self-built: Asus PRIME B550M-K/Ryzen 5600GT/32Gb/Intel ARC B580 12Gb/KDE neon
HP Elitedesk 800 G3 Mini: i5-7500T(35w)/32Gb/Kubuntu LTS
HP Chromebook 14: i5-1135G7/8Gb/512Gb SSD/KDE Linux

Yeah, this is one of the few things we can't do well. I sure hope some makers move to the "light" side...

The problem sometimes in not just the manufacturers of the readers lack of support, even minimally, it is iirc sometimes the method of storing and encrypting the saved fingerprints, often actual images.
Somewhere, I did read one of the major culprits had pledged to make these more Linux friendly, but existing readers were still a no-go.Self-built: Asus PRIME B550M-K/Ryzen 5600GT/32Gb/Intel ARC B580 12Gb/KDE neon
