    Shuttleworth's latest proposal

Mark Shuttleworth has a new proposal for the future of Ubuntu (and by extension everythng derived from it, Incl. Kubuntu). It looks like a decent proposal. I really like the proposal to separate platoform and applications. But, I wonder how it would affect Kubuntu's KDE since it uses the 6-mo. cadence.
The unjust distribution of goods persists, creating a situation of social sin that cries out to Heaven and limits the possibilities of a fuller life for so many of our brothers. -- Archbishop Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Buenos Aires (now Pope Francis)

I think the technical board already decided that starting from 13.04 the regular releases will only be supported for 9 months.

Yes that's true. I also think its a very sane approach, most distros don't continue support for nearly as long as (K)Ubuntu when it comes to non enterprise or server desktops.
