[Desktop] Can't disable wobbly windows on Kubuntu 26.04

Hi everyone, I installed 26.04 today and, to my disgust, they enabled wobbly windows by default. After disabling it, it keeps reverting after reboot. For some reason my changes aren't being saved.

I did a clean install with no old config files and I didn't install any themes/scripts/whatever. The only "unusual" thing is that the install partition is encrypted, and I set SDDM to log me in automatically on boot, so to not have to write my password twice.

I searched the forum and other places, and no one seems to have been affected by this specific issue. Has anyone else bumped into this?

EDIT: I gave a fix, the OP never bothered to respond. No-one else responded or even gave likes to show it helped anyone. Now I'm reminded why I stopped posting on the net - good help isn't appreciated.

I used to be a mod on Aximusers.com - that's just to demonstrate my experience credentials (and age... :-) )
I completely agree. I used to help people online at the drop of a hat, but I eventually slowed and pretty much stopped when I saw that users were (maybe) taking my answers and then were too lazy or inconsiderate even to press the "thanks" button, much less reply with a "Thanks, that fixed it" message. I guess the internet has spawned a generation of people that think everything, including assistance, is their right, and they don't need to pay for or express gratitude for anything. Sad...
      Rant mode off... :-)

saracatunga, I don't know your experience with Linux in general or Kubunbu in particular, I need to ask, after you disabled wobbly windows in the settings app, did you click on the Apply button at the bottom right of the page?

            Code:
kwriteconfig6 --file kwinrc --group Plugins --key translucencyEnabled false
            try these ,then reboot

Is this unpleasant sarcastic comment typical of the attitude I can expect in this forum? I expect better of senior members.

Wry humor is common here! I myself am prone to expressing such.

I like humour too. I just thought that a senior member calling out a noob (though I'm only a total noob with Kubuntu) was pushing the envelope. Still, no offence taken, and I'm reassured that the comment wasn't intended in the way that I first interpreted it.

KFN is a friendly place. Ribbing isn't taboo, but acknowledgments of offense will be given if any such ribbing is persevered otherwise.

                        really
I would almost say it is actually the opposite. But can we know the ages of everyone who posts? I will bet even money that this is not generational.

I have been here in this specific forum since 2005, and in mailing lists and Usenet before that. A long time ago, if memory serves, we decided against having Likes on the original forum software, to prevent the useless engagement farming we saw elsewhere. It isn't in our "culture" to push or use Likes, for better or worse, even though in the different forum software we have used, we enabled it.

I personally don't give a rats @ss about getting appreciation or anything. This may stem from the way things worked in mls and newsgroups.

Having said that, we do like to promote marking threads as solved. I wish it were used more.

And to be honest, and I did look, and this may be the very first time that anyone has ever complained, or mentioned being bothered by a lack of likes, before now. And the user waited all of five hours (at the most) from the time the OP posted, and they replied and edited that reply. Not long enough, considering the different parts of the world we are all from, and with all of two posts in total. High expectations, maybe, even if they are not wrong at all in their sentiments.
