[Desktop] Can't disable wobbly windows on Kubuntu 26.04

Hi everyone, I installed 26.04 today and, to my disgust, they enabled wobbly windows by default. After disabling it, it keeps reverting after reboot. For some reason my changes aren't being saved.

I did a clean install with no old config files and I didn't install any themes/scripts/whatever. The only "unusual" thing is that the install partition is encrypted, and I set SDDM to log me in automatically on boot, so to not have to write my password twice.

I searched the forum and other places, and no one seems to have been affected by this specific issue. Has anyone else bumped into this?

EDIT: I gave a fix, the OP never bothered to respond. No-one else responded or even gave likes to show it helped anyone. Now I'm reminded why I stopped posting on the net - good help isn't appreciated.

I used to be a mod on Aximusers.com - that's just to demonstrate my experience credentials (and age... :-) )
I completely agree. I used to help people online at the drop of a hat, but I eventually slowed and pretty much stopped when I saw that users were (maybe) taking my answers and then were too lazy or inconsiderate even to press the "thanks" button, much less reply with a "Thanks, that fixed it" message. I guess the internet has spawned a generation of people that think everything, including assistance, is their right, and they don't need to pay for or express gratitude for anything. Sad...
      Rant mode off... :-)

saracatunga, I don't know your experience with Linux in general or Kubunbu in particular, I need to ask, after you disabled wobbly windows in the settings app, did you click on the Apply button at the bottom right of the page?
