[Desktop] Can't disable wobbly windows on Kubuntu 26.04

Hi everyone, I installed 26.04 today and, to my disgust, they enabled wobbly windows by default. After disabling it, it keeps reverting after reboot. For some reason my changes aren't being saved.

I did a clean install with no old config files and I didn't install any themes/scripts/whatever. The only "unusual" thing is that the install partition is encrypted, and I set SDDM to log me in automatically on boot, so to not have to write my password twice.

I searched the forum and other places, and no one seems to have been affected by this specific issue. Has anyone else bumped into this?

It's a bug. For some reason when you disable some desktop effects it doesn't always write the correct config entry properly. To fix it, open a terminal and run the following:

kwriteconfig6 --file kwinrc --group Plugins --key wobblywindowsEnabled false

Might need to log off and log back in before it'll take effect.
