System boots to GRUB CLI twice

About two weeks ago I upgraded from Kubuntu 25.04 to Kubuntu 25.10 which other than this issue has been fine: when I boot my system it enters the GRUB command line instead of launching straight into Kubuntu as it had done previously. I can still access my system by entering "exit" on the GRUB CLI, but I'd like to put it back to normal. Unfortunately I foolishly tried to fix it myself using Boot-Repair which has only compounded the issue with the GRUB CLI appearing twice requiring two "exit" commands followed by a Ubuntu (Non-KDE) logo on the boot screen - the system does still run as normal however. Hopefully my shaky (apologies) video below helps.

    1) Please include the following information in your posts:
    • Version/release of Kubuntu: 25.10
    • Kubuntu is installed on my SSD
    • It is the only OS on this drive. I have Windows installed on another drive but not in a dual boot fashion - I have to use the BIOS to select an alternate boot device for it.
    • The version of KDE Plasma installed: 6.4.5

    2) Information about your PC:
