This new guy tried to mark my 1st post as solved. Couldn't find an answer in help, stickies, or the site.

Yes.
To do so, return to the first post in the thread (presumably your post) and then select "Edit" from the tool bar in the lower-right of the post window.
Then the post will change to Edit mode.
In the upper right select the pull-down labeled "No Prefix" and select to "Solved" or "Resolved" or "Abandoned" as appropriate and Save.
