UPDATE Here's 1 of the last archived versions: https://web.archive.org/web/20211202...openastro.org/ of openstro with instructions to install without a repsository if need be. Thank you claydoh My brain is hazy on how to do this the right way. As so ANY tips and clues that anyone voluntarily posts are duly appreciated, not demanded. No sympathy is asked for from anyone. Here's my last go round with MXlinux23 https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...on-4175746672/ , the people MXLinux forums https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic....d5b05ca4c32ef2 b01e64e2&start=20 of which considered mixing and matching Ubuntu/PPA repositories with their Debian and other repositories as heresy. It is frustrating to seem like I'm the only person who wants this old software updated and far more convenient. It's beautiful when it works and has a lot of potential to be improved. I went through this with the same PC I was tinkering with last Winter, except now here I'm on a clean Kubuntu install the MX destroied. Here again is the link to 1 of the last archived versions: https://web.archive.org/web/20211202...nastro.org/
