    [Multimedia] Headphone Jack Issue

Hey everyone. Ever since installing Kubuntu a couple of months ago I've had some trouble using my headphone jack. When I plug in earbuds, the sound keeps coming out of my laptop's speakers. The port does change to "Headphones" in multimedia settings though and the volume controls a different profile than when I have nothing plugged in, but sound still just comes out of the speakers. I've also tried looking in alsamixer, but I couldn't find anything that helped. I'm using Kubuntu 17.04 on an Alienware 15 R1 with a SoundBlaster Recon3di sound card. I'm starting to think this may be a pin mapping issue, but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated!

Look in system settings under Multimedia> Audio volume> and make sure you don't have "Simultaneous output..." selected. I believe the default is to output to all available channels unless changed.
