    Kubuntu 16 on EFI is slowing down

    Hi!
    After struggled with instalation on EFI boot (6 times), I installed it instead Win 10 to my new Acer F5-573-56GH.
    Now, some time after starting the machine, the system slows down very rapidly - the mouse is slow and whole system freezes. Also on start it's very slow - black screen on boot (5s) and especially then after login loading desktop (10sec)

    After using preinstalled Win 10 I was quite shocked, that my favourite system is slower than that Win 10 thing... And I still don't believe in Win

    My NB:
    4x Core I5 6267U
    7,6GB (8GB) DDR4 memory
    256GB SSD, 7,3GB SWAP

    Kubuntu 16.04 64bit
    KDE Plasma 5.8.4
    4.4.0-54-generic kernel

    I was googling and found nothing, what helped this behavior. Could anyone help me here, please?

    My logs from KSystemLog (searched for "fail");

    I had a similar issue because of the nvidia driver. Try booting with "nomodeset" option.

    But you are getting a lot of authentication errors. That seems odd to me.

      Well, it didn't work. So setting nomodeset didn't helped the "slowing down" issue, but seems reduced amount of kernel messages;

      Authentication errors have disappeared. Seems like somebody misspelled his password

      But x.org shown something interesting (think synaptics is something with mouse?);

      Edit:
      I found some question about mouse lag on superuser:
      http://superuser.com/questions/52872...inux-mint-mate
      and did these commands, hoping it will help. Unfortunately (or fortunately - still don't know ) I erased all my default /etc/modprobe.d/local.conf. System seems to work without. I'll see, if the lags stops to appear.
      sudo -i
      echo N > /sys/module/drm_kms_helper/parameters/poll
      echo "options drm_kms_helper poll=N" >> /etc/modprobe.d/local.conf
