[SOLVED] Graphics application

Lo Guys ,

I need software to edit pictures. I installed The Gimp with Kpackagekit but it doesn't work.
It tries to load and then just crashes without an error.

What other good application is there for editing photo's and picture files please ?

Using Kubuntu 11.04 64bit with all updates.

But what do you mean gimp "crashes without an error"? Have you tried running it from the command line?

I launch it from the start menu. Then it tries to launch (shows the gimp little icon on the cursor and shows the gimp at the bottom of the task bar) and then just crash with nothing further happening. The icon on the cursor dissapear as well as at the bottom of the task bar.

In a nutshell: Change your GTK theme, launch gimp, close it, change your GTK theme back, all is well.

Covered several times in this forum...
