For those always wanting the latest release, KDE 4.6.4 is now available.

Installed faultlessly here on Kubuntu 11.04.

Hi,

It installed without problems here, but I thought the new Kontact suite would be part of it? My Kontact still says v. 4.4.10.

Will there be a seperate release for the new Kontact?

The latest Kontact is for now (up to Kubuntu 11.04) in the experimental repositories

4.5.96 is not the latest version, it's a release candidate.

4.6.0 final is the latest and was released 6 days ago, yet I can't find any mention of it being officially prepared for Kubuntu yet (and it's not in any PPAs that I can find).

It's not, yet. It will be in a ppa soon enough (I know someone is working on it as I type ), but it still can eat your kittens, I am sure. But having played with it in project-neon's environment, it is not too bad, stability-wise. It hasn't eaten any of my emails so far, or crashed. I set it up from scratch, however, so I can't say how well that will go. Setting it up was a breeze as that part has been improved greatly.

I got it installed on my computer yesterday I think, and its doing just great on 11.04
