After system crash an app is autostarting - but no autostart entries

I've been having an issue where after a system crash - when I restart kubuntu some app(s) will autostart - but they are not in any autostart entries I can find. I don't want them to autostart but can't find what is causing them to autostart?

    Which Kubuntu release?

It is probably something "stuck" in the desktop session.

You can temporarily change the setting to not save the session when logging out.

This should be in a similar place no matter the Plasma version, so just search System Settings for "session" and select the Desktop Session section. Change the setting to have it start with an empty session, and use that for a logout or reboot or two. If that clears things up, you can change the setting back.
