Microsoft fixes Linux boot issues on dual-boot Windows systems

Since I no longer use Windows, I can't really assess this or test it or even offer an opinion.
But you guys who dual boot Windows can make some sense of it. Maybe it is not news?

I should check that out, but Kubuntu 25.10 is running well and have no need to reinstall it (yet).

Microsoft "fixing" anything should be a red flag. Microsoft is not your friend, it is a all consuming arrogant control freak mega-corp. (The reason I mention this is..... MS "fixing" it always means more than what you would think.) MS don't just "fix" something for nothing.

The only system I have that kind of is in Dual Boot mode really hasn't had issues thought I rarely go into Windows other then to ensure it is updated.

I also made sure Windows is on it's own partition boot and all and use UEFI boot order for that. Though GRUB actually sees that.

I really have grown tired of MS BS and what I use at work is all Linux with a VM Windows to support our systems.

Only real issue I've seen is the most current VirtualBOX version breaks Windows 11 and can't boot due to some "controls" MS put in. Again, more MS BS.
