[CONFIGURATION] newby - installation correct, grub not loading

I'm newby in linux, in advance

I'v got an old Akoya Medion (2 GB, 32 GB MMC)and tryed to install linux on it.
I've tried many distros, only Lubuntu starts easily.
When tryuing to install Kubuntu it seems ok, but then laptop just enters tex mode.

I suppose grub is not avaliable?

Can you help me solving it, or guide me through installation to avoid it?

I said, tryed many distros, and Lubuntu installs easily and started ok...

      Welcome.

Which Kubuntu version did you install?
Did you set Kubuntu as the system you want to boot to in UEFI, for example?
And please give us some more information about e.g. your hardware (and if possible about what exactly you have done step-by-step).

What does "just enters text mode" mean?
What does the boot process show before?
What does the "text mode" say (a screenshot/photo could also be useful to solve your problem).

There should also be several installation threads with step-by-step suggestions in this forum - try using the search and see if you can find what you need.

I think your laptop is simply not sufficient to install/run Kubuntu Linux. A PC should have:
            • 2 GHz dual core processor
            • 4 GiB RAM (system memory)
            • 25 GB of hard drive space (or USB stick, memory card or external drive but see LiveCD for an alternative approach)
            • VGA capable of 1024×768 screen resolution
            • Either a CD/DVD drive or a USB port for the installer media
            • Internet access is helpful

I suppose its so old it can't manage...
              many thanks

Possibly a problem of the UEFI/BIOS - or a misconfiguration (did you study the technical manual of your UEFI/BIOS?)…
Did you look at the manufacturer's website if there is an update for it?
