laptop cannot recieve files from phone but can send to phone via blutooth

Hi All, my problem is that I cant "now" send files or photos to my kde 23:10 laptop via blutooth from my samsung s23 phone and I cannot work it out, I am connected to my laptop and I can send files from the laptop to my phone but not phone to laptop even though connected via blutooth ...... the laptop no longer asks me to "accept" files as no such message shows where it did previously I have unpaired and re paired but to no avail its still the same problem...... any suggestions would be gratefully looked at. What has changed if any thing. I would install mtp-tools for one. Do you have any type of firewall set up?

I dont know what has changed except OS updates, and yes I have the standard Linux firewall running ...... thanks for the suggestion and I will disable my firewall and see if that helps...... blutooth is quite convenient for sending just a couple of pics or files if I need to do more I can connect my phone via usb cable.
