    [SOLVED] Screen Problem

Yesterday as I was using my computer, a screen problem arose, and it still exists. As I move the cursor, the stuff displayed on the screen also moves. The best I can do to describe the problem is as follows: Suppose the screen is a 12 inches by 14 inches rectangle. The stuff being displayed seems to be 14 inches by 16 inches. Thus, all of the stuff to be displayed will not fit into the screen's physical space. So as I move the cursor on the screen, the stuff to be displayed also moves so that all of the stuff that fits into the larger (14 inches by 16 inches) space gets displayed.

Rebooting does not solve the problem. I turned the computer off last night, and this morning the problem still exists. I'm running Kubuntu 14.10.

Has anyone any idea as to what the problem may be and what the solution is?

perhaps you have zoomed in on the desktop. try hitting meta (windowkey) and 0 to reset the zoom . not sure if that will stay after a reboot

edit: the 0 by backspace not the one on the numpad
