    pic to slide show opinion

I need something new to work on. Looking to get opinions on the best software to make slideshows from pictures. I have close to 20,000 pictures from 15 years of marriage and family and a few thousand more that made a side trip to my scanner on the way from Dad and Moms old house to the new one. Looking for something fairly easy to use with features like random transitions. Would also like the ability to set some transitions manually. Add music, of course, and auto-sync picture display to match time of song chosen. A program that works both in Kubuntu and Windows 7 would be great too. Wife doesn't understand Linux , so her machine is straight win7. Basically looking for some creative outlet. Space is not a problem, my Kubuntu drive still has 900Gb left and data drive a little over 2Tb
