    Also note that purging does NOT remove any configuration files in one's /home directory. The only way to truly nuke something that may involve a user's local configuration is to manually delete those files.

    Deleting or moving/renaming your /home/<username>/.mozilla folder would reset FF to it's default setup and settings.

      I'm glad you posted that info. Your post prompted me to investigate further the purge feature. I see that purge is an option in the apt-get remove command, but as you say, that command will not remove configuration files in one's home directory. Thanks for the info.
