    Yes, GIMP.
And--for me, for my hp printer models--hplip is a miraculous program that makes using an hp printer a walk in the park.

Under utilities, I would like to recommend Psensor if you like to keep an eye on your sensor information. It sticks a little icon in the notification area, and when your right-click on it all of your sensor information is immediately visible.

This is something I discovered yesterday. A nice trippy psychedelic effect in the terminal using lolcat.

Download the 7zip from here: https://github.com/busyloop/lolcat

Make sure you have rubygems, fortune and cowsay installed:

              Code:
sudo apt-get install rubygems fortune cowsay
Extract the 7zip somewhere and cd into the lolcat-master folder.

              Do

              Code:
              sudo gem install lolcat
              Test it's installed by

              Code:
              lolcat --help
Now add this line to your .bashrc

              Code:
              fortune | cowsay -W 240 -t | lolcat -a -F 0.3
You can play around with the numbers, find what works best. Run

              Code:
              source .bashrc
              to make the setting permanent.

              .

                Bump!

I just discovered the yawp weather plasma widget. Wow. This blows all other weather widgets out of the water. You can receive weather info from 8 different places at once and then easily flip through the different weather service forcasts. By clicking on the map buttons for each weather service (when applicable), you get an up to date weather map, right there in your widget! It also tells me things like sunrise and sunset times, the real temperature vs. what temp. it feels like, and even the UV index. Very impressed by this one. Find it in the repos: plasma-widget-yawp
