Lutris - Disable screensaver not working.

I was playing Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition on Lutris last night and the screen saver/screen lock kept activating despite me disabling it in the preferences in Lutris, Wine and in the game itself.
Does anyone know of a way to make it work without disabling the screen lock every time I need to play a game?
    Thanks.

Not really. If the game/wine/runner is not correctly requesting to inhibit screen locking or something similar, then workarounds will be needed -- it isn't just a KDE thing here.

Using gamemode should work, as this utility calls for it and is known to work for this.

Another idea is the power management widget in the system tray should have a quick toggle to disable this without going to System Settings.

Right-click WoW in Lutris > Configure > System options > Show advanced options > Scroll down to DXVK_HUD and change 1 to 0 or delete it.

Use a tool called Caffeine (app or desktop extension). It automatically prevents the screensaver and screen lock while a game is running.

This way, you don’t have to manually disable the screen lock every time you play.
