Thanks for the heads up, woodsmoke. iD is so awesome for sharing the source code of their games.

For those unfamiliar with iD's policy, the source code of the game is released under GPL. That means we can eventually have free and open source ports of their games, as has been the case with Doom and Doom 2. You still need resource packs (graphics, sounds and music) to play the game though, and those are not free. You have to purchase Doom 3 to legally use these resources.
