ADDED:
- Option to change the plain color (darker/lighter) with the mouse double click.

- Option to change the brightness of the image background with the the mouse click and hold.

Of late, I have been using a combination of the plasma5 slideshow desktop and a python script called PortalView Live to grab live webcam images from places of interest (to me). This is not a detailed "how to" -- there's a bit of a one-time learning curve to unpack the script, read the README, set up a folder for the downloaded images, and modify the script to insert the webcam URLs that you want. I'm using six or eight URLs from the USA, Europe, Africa, and India at the moment. If you set the script to grab a new image every 120 seconds (or your interval of choice), and set the slideshow to change the desktop at the same interval, you get a new photo wallpaper every 2 minutes. Here are some of my URLs:

Any ideas why sound in SDDM theme doesnt work? It works while previewing with sddm-greeter

I would look the systemd journal.
Is the sddm greeter throwing errors ?

Do you happen to know how to modify that blue glow color around password box? Color schemes, themes, qml files, etc, nothing seemed to have connection to it. I dont want it blue

At here the blue glow is from the plasma theme & focus - the 'Breeze' has it - the 'Simple Flow' doesn't have:
