This is an HP mini, used as a sort of media center with Spotify and Kradio connected to the Stereo.
It has worked fine until the upgrade from 13.04 to 13.10 when there was no more sound coming out of the headphone jacket.
After checking lots of things and without success, one morning it suddenly worked again, great.
Yesterday I upgraded to 14.04, no hassle.
But again no sound on headphone out...
Checked pulsaudio and alsa, all were fine.
Then I had I thought and rebooted without anything plugged in to the headphone jacket and only connected the stereo after booting up.
Success!
Apparently there is a little leak current, wrong impedance or so disabling this particular output during boot.
