    Lightworks Linux client!

Posted by Editshare, soo I hope *knock on wood* there wont be more delay, been almost a year now since they thought they'd release a beta testing for Linux.

Anyway - this is for testing only, and I hope it'll be open for everyone to test.

Cool. I'll give it a whirl straight away it hits the net. Mind that it's a alpha, due to improvements so I hope many coders here will pick it up and participate, since I can't code (note- source code have not been released yet though). Would be nice since I've up-talked the Linux community and FOSS superiority when it comes to coding/fast advancement of applications. There has actually been some quite heated debates over at their forum, yet well moderated. Comments like "Linux is a toy for geeks" made my blood boil!!, ofc those kind of statements never had any substance to stand against being broken down and tossed out

It's not only Cool, Editshare who's behind Lightworks is in fact one of the high rollers (well used in Hollywood and other broadcast networks) of NLE production, so this could be one of the most professional releases on the Linux platform ever!(?), outside the coding/server/computer sector.

They also seem determent to release the code which so far isn't very common - but a practice that should have kudos. I've almost waited a year for this alpha release.

When I hear / read that kind of thing, my mind instantly labels the commenter as "immature", "fool", or both.

Those kind of people don't make me angry, because in order to make me angry I'd need to have at least some respect for their opinions...
