    Music software similar to Reason/Fruityloops?

Hey, I'm trying to find applications on Linux so I can totally free myself from windows. I found a tab reader (tuxguitar). Now just trying to find something to replace Reason. I have a midi keyboard controller and would wish to find a piece of software or piece(s) to replace reason. Any suggestions?

I don't know much about Reason but LMMS claims to be a replacement for Fruityloops.

Ah sweet, I'll check it out! thanks. I had a go with GIMP today. I'm loving the free open source programs. They really do just as well as the ones you pay hundreds of bucks for.

        sudo aptitude install rosegarden
        will install it for you.

Gimp is very functional and it's all I use. In case it is relevant to you, Photoshop7 runs like a charm in wine and reportedly newer versions work too. However, I still only use Gimp.
