    Huion/Monitor problems?

Hello! I recently installed Kubuntu onto my Thinkpad, specifically chose KDE Plasma because I liked how it has a built in drawing tablet configuration. I assumed it would work just fine as I had previously installed Arch with KDE Plasma and it went well with my drawing tablet (though I abandoned Arch as I had problems I did not have the skills to fix). However, plugging in my Huion Kamvas 13 does not give me an option to mirror my computer screen onto the drawing tablet screen. The pen still "works" in a way, where I can still draw as long as I focus on the computer screen, but that defeats the whole purpose and ease of a screen drawing tablet! I just want to know if theres a way I can fix this so the screens mirror, or if it is something out of my control? Is there another distro I can use instead that will give me better success with my drawing tablet! I am incredibly new to Linux as a whole, so I am alright with switching around until I settle with something that works for me. Thank you in advance!

You likley need to find out what Arch provided for this specific device that might not be present on a normal *buntu install.

An important consideration is the Kubuntu version -- if you are using LTS, it might have less support in the kernel for this device compared to Kubuntu 25.04 and the even more current Arch

    Which release are you using?

Using the Opentablet driver, or any proprietary stuff from Huion?

Distrohopping for one piece of hardware versus seeing what can be done to get it working on your current setup is a 6-of-one-thing or a half-dozen-of-another sort of situation.

If it worked on Arch and its ultra-current versions of *everything*, then.....Arch like-distros will likley fare the same. The KDE version may not have much to do with this at all, bit more likley the driver/kernel version, unless there was some other pieces you ad there that may not be immediately available on *buntu and those based on it.
