Utopic Unicorn 64-bit Live USB - Failure to boot

I've downloaded the daily build iso (utopic-desktop-amd64.iso) and verified the md5sum. I used Starup Disk Creator to create a Live USB (4GB stick). The process proceeds to completion (no errors). But, rebooting the laptop to the USB stick fails with:

    gfxboot.c32: not a com32R image

    What's up with that?

    Added:
    Found this on bugs.launchpad.net:
iso image boots to error gfxboot.c32: not a COM32R image boot:

Image boots to error which repeats until the tab key is pressed.
    "gfxboot.c32: not a COM32R image
    boot:"
Tab key reveals the following options.. live live-install check memtest hd mainmenu help
Typing live proceeds to boot into desktop.
Bug was confirmed in July 2014.
