    Using ArchBang bashrc in Kubuntu?

    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has had any success in displaying the information ArchBang does in the console on Kubuntu? It doesnt appear I can post a screenshot to help illustrate what I mean, but basically in Arch console lost of fun system information is displayed before the entry prompt, and I cant seem to get that same information to display in Kubuntu. I copied the bash.rc file from Arch over and tried pasting it in bashrc of my profile in Kubuntu as well as in /etc/bashrc and still wont work.

    Any thoughts or ideas?

Hi. That console info and logo in ArchBang is done by Archbey, a python script particular to that distro.

It's based on Archey, whatever that is.

I'm not sure if we have anything similar for the *buntus.

For a long time, I have used dhammapada + cowsay... it's amusing what comes up sometimes

Take a look at cowsay, available in the standard repositories, so installable from the package manager or from the CLI using apt-get install cowsay.
      Description-en: A configurable talking cow
Cowsay (or cowthink) will turn text into happy ASCII cows, with
speech (or thought) balloons. If you don't like cows, ASCII art is
available to replace it with some other creatures (Tux, the BSD
daemon, dragons, and a plethora of animals, from a turkey to
      an elephant in a snake).

        Thank you all!

I found, after much further research, that Archey is available on many other distrobutions now, including Kubuntu! So I have installed it
