[SOLVED] Virtualbox - what happened to the repository?

Since yesterday (?), the repository for virtualbox (deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian oneiric contrib) is unreachable. In fact, a Google search on Virtualbox, and clicking on Oracle VM VirtualBox https://www.virtualbox.org/ results in:

This webpage is not available


The server at www.virtualbox.org can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Chromium from accessing the network.

I didn't have traceroute installed so I installed it to see how my route to VB compared to yours:

They didn't list my wireless router box, my ISP, or any other intermediate destination. I must be missing a parameter.
This makes my delays pinging google or watching youtube videos even more perplexing.

and then again I get the first result. After the 4th line the time between successive lines was 5 second each.

When I do the original run that gave a single return of the oracle website, it now gives:

The -T flag demonstrates the lag between lines that I experience between packets when I ping google.com.
