Very Large Databases

Hi,

I am doing research on the feasability of building an integration suite that would include Business Intelligence function using only open source tools.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has had experience in the TB+ range using any open source database such as Postgress, MySQL etc.

Hi,

I never did it myselft, but I've heard a company is selling a solution based on linux and postgresql, of course it's proprietary, but they've proposed it as replacement for a db2 database of more than 5 TB

We have evaluated it in our company, but finally choose a built-in solution based on MySQL + Django + Openoffice.
