Help me find the right cd

Hi!

Could someone please help me with the right iso-file to download.

I tried with a Ubuntu cd but that wouldn't read from the cd-rom.

Computer:

Hewlett-Packard Company
HP Pavilion
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual
Core Processor 5000+

I got some kind of I/O error.

I got to the menu where I could choose Start or install Ubuntu but after pressed enter it loaded for a while and the I got the error.

Hi,

Maybe you should try to burn the cd at lower speed, if it's working, you should try to make a checksum checking.

Yes, burning at a slow speed is a good top.....

Have you tried the Live CD to see if your system is compatible ?

& sometimes a cheap media will cause your problem also. I noticed by your post count that you have been using Kubuntu for some time, so are you trying to upgrade to a newer version ?
