Linux will often allow you to do a particular task in different ways and so there are different package managers, some more shiny, others more frugal.
I happen to like Muon because it has never really failed to satisfy my needs, the preview can be handy.
There are times when I would use the CLI, mainly to install something I know or a local deb, I've used Discover to see if there is anything new and then there is good old Synaptic.
To give an example of Discover's weakness, this computer uses Gwenview as main picture viewer, asking Discover for the KIPI plug-ins will only reinstall Gwenview and add extra Gwenview entries in the K-menu.
