How to leave something out of system update?

    I'm at

    uname -a
    Linux jon-desktop 6.14.0-37-generic #37~24.04.1-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Thu Nov 20 10:25:38 UTC 2 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

System updates are available for my system. But I do not want to update firefox-esr as firefox is not working with Netflix now and my chromium-based browsers don't work at all.

Is there a way to update without updating a particular module, in this case, firefox-esr.?

You can use apt-mark to "hold" a package:
    Code:
    sudo apt-mark hold firefox-esr
More info and other ways to do this that you likely won't use:

You should also be able to do this using Synaptic Package Manager
